Mulu Gebreeyesus (PhD) is a senior researcher at the Ethiopian Development Research Institute (EDRI) starting July 2014. He had been working as a senior researcher at the UNU-MERIT, the Netherlands until recently (2008-2014). Prior to this, he served as a Research Fellow and Head of Poverty and Sectoral Development Directorate at EDRI for the period 2006-2008. Mulu’s research interest is on industrial policy, trade orientation and firm performance, and innovation and growth in small businesses. He has coordinated and managed different research projects pertaining to the formal and informal sectors in Ethiopia and published a number of articles in international reviewed journals.
